A Profound Alchemical Moment

by Kim Gould on November 5, 2009

It’s one of those times when integration is the name of the game.

The Moon brings the emotional energy of the Solar Plexus up to the Throat, with all the significance of Neptune and Chiron conjunct in Gate 49 and Uranus in Gate 36.  The rising up of emotions that have been trapped, blocked, suppressed, twisted and misused.

Also at the Throat is Mars bringing Jupiter’s faith and hope with it.  And by connecting to the G Centre we also get the energy of Pluto mixing in. And Saturn is there as well.  OMG! (said in high drama voice)

So just let me spell that out:  Chiron, Neptune, Uranus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are all connected just now.  What could they be up to???

Well lets have a look at what energy centres are involved.  We’ve got the Solar Plexus Centre, which is all about our personal emotions.   More specifically, right now those planets are activating what we’ve suppressed because it’s been so gravely wounded we haven’t been able to move on.

We’ve also got the G Centre, which is the collective heart ~ unconditional love.  The channel being activated is about completing emotional cycles so that we can correctly enter into the new without excess and irrelevant baggage in tow.

Pluto is, remember, joining with Dwarf Planet Haumea in Gate 57 and if we color that in on the chart we also get the Spleen Centre involved, our intution that allows us to engage in deeply transformative acts of love towards ourselves.

It is difficult at times to connect with others who are still struggling and we can feel that we are coming up against the same blocks to sharing our inner self that we’ve been experiencing forever.

But things are different now. We are strong enough to move forward in alignment with our truth no matter what comes at us from outside.  And in any case there is also, amidst some difficulty, an incredible serendipity going on that pushes us to the limits of what we can imagine is possible.

Saturn (in the gate of serendipity) is already lined up for it’s direct square to Pluto in 2 days time.  Pluto says: “Here one is sure of achieving ultimate success, which consists in achieving one’s purpose, that is, in overcoming danger by going forward.”

Even when the Moon moves on in an hour or so we still have the asteroid Chaos in Gate 35 teaching us that progress is all about going with the flow.

Oh and did I mention Mercury conjunct the Sun in the Gate of Coming to Meet (44)?  No, must have missed this important aspect amongst .. well all the other world shifting things going on today.

Gate 44 is where “the darkness, after having been eliminated, furtively and unexpectedly obtrudes again from within and below. ”

I suggest you welcome it with open arms, as if it is the lost bride.  Perhaps it is, as the I Ching (being steeped in the strict gender roles of ancient China) goes on to say that “Of it’s own accord (shocking!) the female principle goes on to meet the male.  It is an unfavourable and dangerous situation, and we must understand and promptly prevent the possible consequences.”  Uppity thing she is!

And in that case it comes as no surprise to find asteroid Magdalena – the lost bride – conjunct Venus in the Spleen Centre in Gate 32.  Which, coincidentally (and I use that word very loosely) is all about marriage as an enduring union based on affection and gentleness that is entered into correctly and cannot be worn down by hindrances.

An alchemical moment all around I’d say,  for the inner self, our personal relationships and our culture.    Pass the champagne please.

what a juicy post.. what an amazing time– the revolution begins within :) … and I must admit.. I kind of like the idea of a little Saturn Pluto action– it makes things real.. and gives us the impetus to get through it.. but you are right– the challenge is recognizing what needs to be healed (in the darkness) when it shows up rather than wanting to fight it..

I agree Jeanette, lets get into those dark aspects and really enjoy the power and joy mistakenly seen as something that’s wrong with us. I love your new video on your blog, btw <3

Thank you for the merry tidings, yes, a toast, a toast!
Alchemy has long been a concept I like playing around with, especially the kind that needs darkness, the raven’s wing…
However, profound is the key word here… it’s more that just a golden surface we are talking about, the transformation runs deep.
Drink deep, then, and pass the cup on.
WIshing you all the best and basking in light, feathers and joy,
