Full Moon March 2014

New Moon March 2014

Struggling on with the devil we know is not going to bring us rewards this month. Instead, try reaching out to others and facing your fears of being found out.

We all feel like we have things to hide.  Places we’d rather not let others see.  But that is changing.   The dark places within us are about to be revealed as jewels, just waiting to be discovered by the right person.  This week’s New Moon is about letting go of struggling on alone because we are too afraid of losing control to ask for help or even to say YES when that invitation comes along.

We are making a fundamental transformation, from going it alone to opening up to the thrill of relationship.  I’m not talking about love relationships in particular.   This is about having great relationships in every area of our lives.  The whole idea of the rugged individual has cost us a lot of happiness.  How many people are sitting at home watching television and chatting on Facebook to avoid their loneliness, even as I write this. We’ve wandered into territory that has left us isolated, even in the midst of company.

We are headed to new relationship territory, so different from the old established ways of relating that are based on lack of self worth.  If I do this for you, you’ll do that for me.  This is SO much more aligned with really seeing each other, really being there for each other, letting go of being invisible, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, to be magnificent in our own unique way.   It’s a non-economic relationship! It’s based on love and trust and a choice of true connection, rather than clinging together to survive. It exists outside the existing boundaries of our time space dimension and we are making it up as we go along.

If you’re coming up against anything that feels uncomfortable just now it’s probably because you’re experiencing a remnant of old conditioning. Still trying to keep control so you won’t be revealed for what you truly are.  And yet that’s the point!  We’re like the goldfish, this is the water we’ve swum in for millenium and we can’t even see another way to live. So swim on – around and around we shall!  Even though, oh dear, we’re nearly out of room here.  We might really prefer to take more on ourselves.  Because that way we can keep control! We can take on even more responsibility for getting it right, avoiding the blame.  Or ….

You are simply too amazing to stay in this little bowl, and you need to connect with others to get yourself free.  Into a simpler and more vital life.

This week’s New Moon indicates a fresh cycle, sitting in the same gate as that wily master of disruption, Uranus.  In 21.4, Uranus tells us that even enormously hard work is not going to bring us the results we desire right now.  We’re sitting in sticky mud and the harder we try to pull ourselves free the more we get stuck.  So, the best thing to do right now is to relax.  Everything is fine.  It’s exactly how it’s meant to be, even though the material realm may look a tad chaotic and not exactly under your control.

Here’s the trick to this whole set of April transits.  Reach out to others even if it brings up uncomfortable feelings of guilt, shame, not good enough, losing control, too much change and disruption.  Life is going to get miraculously easier as we develop a capacity to build relationships built on trust, love, caring, creativity.  Neptune is helping us build better internal structures that support our individuality while also leaving us free and available for wonderful relationships of all kinds.

Ask yourself what you have to give up to make these new soul family connections.  Is it worth it?  Do you really want to avoid the risk to grow beyond your current limitations?  Miss out on the joy of being even more of who you are?  Letting the dispossessed parts of you out of Pandora’s box and into the world of hope?

If you’re experiencing blocks, limitations or unforseen complications at the moment, don’t struggle with them.  Instead take some time to get clear on what you’re trying to achieve. Tune into whether there is a simpler and more effective approach.  It will probably involved another person.  We are reaching for something beyond the old kind of material outcomes so look for how you feel rather than what you might achieve.   Consider how all this stuckness feels to the child inside you who was squashed, judged and stuffed into a life way too small for her imagination.  What happened to that artist, astronaut, fairy queen?  She really really wants to wake from her slumber and find her artist/astronaut and fairy queen friends right now, and remember how much fun and how productively creative magical play is!

You’re not a cog in the economic machine.    You’re a multidimensional being creating a whole new reality space. We’re all just waiting. It’s a bit like the school dance, who’ll make the first move?

Gateway To The Garden

The landscape shifts like sticky mud under our feet as we try to hold our ground.  December dishes up the unexpected, as if we have been searching in the garden for a particular plant and suddenly wander through a gate to find ourselves in another garden entirely.  Reacquainting ourselves with our new environment needs to be our main focus for the next few weeks.  Who knows what wonders we’ll find there!

Lift Off by AussieGall on www.Flickr.com

Yesterday’s New Moon was conjunct The Great Attractor (5), and the Full Moon on 20th is in the same channel (15).   This channel is the only one activated on 21st December 2012, and it deals with the opening of time dimensions and a re-balancing of the masculine and feminine energy.  Time both speeds up and slows down, warping space and our sense of self.  Being ‘at home’ becomes a soul journey rather than a real estate transaction.

Human Design Transits for 6th December 2010

There’s a whole pile of things going on in the chart right now.  With the Earth in Gate 35, we are able to express our emotions directly and immediately.  Usually a transit to this channel leads to emotional outbursts, but this time the planetary influences have created a deeper slower expression.

In the emotional centre, Neptune is conjunct Chiron in Gate 30.  These two have been travelling together since 2008.   In this gate they seem to be bringing up old emotional wounds to our sense of needs and wants and desires.  They are giving us a reality check on our fantasies, and in this way creating the conditions for instant manifestation.  If what we want isn’t really what we want, but just a glamourous fantasy (think Ferrari), then we will have subconscious resistance.

Feeling wounded about not getting what we want focuses our attention on this question over and over again – is that what I really want?  Or perhaps we could put it this way – if that Ferrari turned up in the driveway right now, would it make me any happier?

There’s a deep but mistaken belief here that we need to rely on others to get what we want.  And this involves manipulation of them (but muuuummmmm!!, why can’t I have it!!!!) and of ourselves as well, as we shift and twist to make ourselves the right shape to attract what we believe we need.  And because we haven’t yet quite mastered the manifestation dance, we never got to do the bit where we learn how to distinguish our true desires from our “childish” fantasies.   We are filling in the dots now.

The second emotional issue is Jupiter and Uranus in Gate 36.  There is a sense here of feeling that our emotional selves are quite mad, they just won’t listen to reason or comply nicely with our ego goals.  And they are making it difficult for us to fit in with the old concept of time.  If I feel emotional and can’t get my work done by 5pm, is that wrong of me?  Waiting for emotional clarity isn’t something we can get sorted by making to-do notes in our diary.  It’s much more receptive than that, and this is where the feminine integrative aspect of self can’t live within the prison of our current time frames.

That suppressed emotional energy is like a powerful horse that will ride in and carry you forward exactly as you desire (36.2).  But our addiction to mechanical time keeps it locked away where it can’t topple the order of our neat and tidy lives.  Without that power we find even walking is difficult (there are so many hexagrams that talk about not being able to walk just now!).  We rely instead on the false ‘horsepower’ of our imaginary Ferrari, living on fantasies where the real thing is waiting for us in an adjacent and parallel time universe.

The third highly significant event is Pluto (58) and Saturn (48) making a sandwich with Gate 18 being the delicious filling.  Gate 18 is a profound gate of DNA healing that affects us on the mental and physical levels.  Pluto (and Mercury about to retrograde) are letting us know that joy is our natural birthright.  I want to quote from 58.1 in Hilary Barrett’s excellent I Ching:

This is the promising beginning of a conversation: not mere self-expression, but the capacity to listen and respond.  You foster trust, and make mutual enrichment possible, by opening up your inner space to exchange.

The foundation for this responsive communication is autonomy and self-reliance: it means that you have something to give, and that you can create a harmonious connection that is not dominated or distorted by what people need from one another.

This is a channel that deals with our relationship to authority – tribal leaders both matriarchal and patriarchal.  There is a potential rigidity being cleared from our energetic fields as we realise that we are safe to connect with the depths of our own horsepower, our own truth and confidence (Saturn in 48.6).  Again from Hilary Barrett,

Water flows strongly into this well from underground sources.  It’s an image of effortless plenty; the water rising in the well, gathering even more as you draw from it – a constant dependable flow.

It might seem safer to cover the well.  You might want to hold yourself apart from the flow of giving and receiving for fear of losing your freedom and autonomy in the constant exchange.  Yet only when you remove the barriers and become part of the flow can you experience the true essence of the situation and tap into it’s deeper potential.

It’s hard to believe that we could be safe in a world where we can wait for the goodness and joy to surface naturally.  It’s difficult to trust that we have all we need within us to manifest what we truly desire without struggle or manipulation.   The Moon is passing over the Galactic Centre (11.5) later today and that is likely to bring new ideas that have you stepping into the next part of that journey into your new garden.

Returning to the Cycle of Life

19th October 2010

I had to pull my head in about two weeks ago because I had stumbled unwittingly into what I could probably best describe as an anti-synchronicity zone. Every time I tried to achieve anything, something broke. My car, my internet router, my phone line … it went on and on till I was for all practical purposes disabled from operating my business.  At one point I couldn’t even get my blog posts to load.

Actually, I say ‘unwittingly’, just because …. well, it’s a great word isnt’ it?  But I can’t say I was clueless.  I was watching the apparently destructive force build and build. The unwitting part was me trying to sneak past it. Shhhh don’t make a sound and it may not hear me! Or if I push hard enough perhaps I can make things go my way. Huh!

So I cancelled everything I had coming up and I’ve been having a delightful time. I’ve been writing an article on Quantum Business and thinking a lot about things generally.

And with Saturn transiting in my undefined Spleen Centre I’ve been having some very profound conversations with my body. I just let everything be and only did what felt good physically and watched the outcome. And felt the pressure fall away, pressure I’d become so used to I was taking it for granted as an unavoidable part of my life, no longer conscious that it was a choice I was making.

Tomorrow Ceres will be conjunct Pluto (10.6). There’s a key transformative theme here that resonates through our personal lives, our businesses and our families.  We can’t make something be the way we want it to be by holding on tightly to it. It’s the classic situation of “if you love something, let it go“. This relates to the structure of our own lives, our bodies, our relationships, our creativity, our children.

Altjira is in the mix as well (20.5) He is a creator god of the Australian Aboriginal central desert people, the Aranda. In the dreaming, Altjira created the world, plus a few new creator gods and goddesses. And then he left them to it. He didn’t stay around to make sure it was all working okay, that the newly created divinities were keeping everything clean, that all the animals were getting on well and sharing nicely. He just nicked off, probably to create another world in a far distant corner of the galaxy.

In a world where children are often put in front of a computer screen or ferried to endless lessons rather than encouraged to run wild, I wonder what anxiety our own inner creations are experiencing.  Under constant supervision lest they step over the line of various forms of correctness.   When Ceres is involved, we are often dealing with deep grief.  When Pluto is involved we are often dealing with deep evolution.

I think it’s likely that this conjunction represents a return of cyclical processes to our life, a shift out of the straight linear way of seeing things that we have clung to since Newton unravelled the mystery of gravity.   When we shake ourselves out of linear time (where we are on a straight line to aging and death .. tick tock) we are free to wander into a garden of delight.  There is always something old to be released and something new to be discovered.  When we allow ourselves the vision of what’s new (rather than seeing life as simply one more step on the pathway to ultimate destruction) it’s so easy to release what’s old.

Finding Our Way to Prosperity and Love

1st September 2010

This is a time when we can be seduced back into the world we have worked so hard to change. This week is a potent mix of disconnecting from what manipulates our energy for it’s own purposes, and instead joining a collective dance that is  joyful, free and creatively inspired.

There is an unmasking of what Philip Shepherd refers to as the tyranny of the independent “known self”. Independent in that it is apparently “self-made” and not connected to anything else. The isolation of the independent known self is an ego based construct that is such a part of our culture, as we lock ourselves in our homes and sit safely ensconsed in the bubble of our cars, that we mistake it for ‘reality’. This despite scientific proof that we are each one of us nothing more and nothing less that a constant flow of energy. And this despite our own experiences of how our relationships are the core of our existence.

We hold on so tightly to our possessions, or at least what we perceive as what is ours. We pay insurance against theft and put bars on our windows.  Altjira has been subtley informing us that this is not a healthy way to be.  A creator god of the desert Aranta people in Australia, Altjira created the earth and everything on it, and then left it to it’s inhabitants to enjoy as they chose.  He is sending us a strong message right now, connecting as he is to Haumea and Pluto, that individual ownership of anything is a dangerous nonsense.

The internet has changed forever the way we experience ownership of our creative output.  Just ask Hollywood and the music industry.  When we see our creations as something we alone  pulled from the ether with only our own heroic efforts of genius, when we fail to recognise the input of others during and after the creative process, we impoverish humanity and life on earth.  Industry that uses the earth’s resources with impunity, governments that allow them to do so, people who create something and then stultify it by a fear of sharing or by refusing to allow it to grow and change through that sharing prevent a true weaving of abundance.

Speaking of weaving, I’ve been watching the asteroid Niobe moving amongst the key astrological players lately.  Niobe lost all her children through her excessive pride in them.  The story of Niobe is of her endless grief at the loss of her progeny.  We are all experiencing this to some degree as our magical inner child is continually deadened by a society that demands we can only work and never play, that claims to own our creative efforts, and refuses to allow us to interact freely with them.   We need to also look at any fear this has created in us, of having to hold on tightly to what we create rather than trusting the reality that it has a life of it’s own that has little to do with who originally created it.

We are about to storm the ramparts of the commercial world with the message that business is not about making money, but sharing love and creating prosperity for all.

With the North Node about to shift into Gate 10 with Pluto, the concept of ‘father’ is shifting.  The more clearly we see our own collusion with the unhealthy ‘father’ and the more we align with the juicy and joyful energy of the incoming protective provisioning masculine the easier our next 18 months will be.  The shamanic nature god Pan is in the Gate of Enthusiasm, at the Throat Chakra calling forth some potent shifts in the feminine.

Vesta and Lilith are in the Gate of Depth with Zeus.  An interesting combination.  The power of Zeus was perhaps wasted due to  his philandering tendencies.  There was that story about the goose, but we won’t go into that now :).  Vesta represents the inner flame of the hearth, and in this position shows that women are likely to be looking deep within to see where they have been allowing that flame to flicker due to a perceived need to find the power in their male lovers rather than within themselves.  And also for the inner flame flickering weakly within the breast of men who seek comfort in their sexual relationships with women, rather than connect with the gentle nature of their own inner feminine.

This confusion has inexorably led to women (and men)  being bound up in culturally based gender roles, and Lilith’s rage at how this renders us unable to act authentically.

The asteroid Child is conjunct Saturn and the Super Galactic Centre.  The new Saturn is the builder.  He knows how to create on the material plane, what needs to be done to bring our visions to reality in the physical density we live in on this planet.  This conjunction says that our inner child is moving out of a cold and isolated place and into the warmth and light of loving relationships – both personal and business.  Saturn demands self-responsibility and we will be able to hold our heads with true rather than false pride as we increasingly find the pathways our inner magic seeks for it’s expression.

And speaking of relationships, the Sun and Earth are in a channel that helps us understand our role in community.   Mercury retrograde will conjunct the Sun in this channel on the 4th September.  We can feel isolated when we feel the need to push forward ahead of our own power.  In my terms this would indicate trying to do things from the mental plane, when they are still an idea, rather than allow the flow of life to support us to embody and integrate first.  When we flow forward in this way not only do we align with a natural abundance, we also proceed without struggle because we emanate the quality of what we long to share.  It’s freely available to whoever wants it with no effort on our part, and we are forever changed through each interaction of giving and receiving.

I will be interviewing Philip Shepherd, author of New Self, New World sometime next week on Love Your Design radio.  I’m so impressed with this book and how clearly Philip talks about the need to deconstruct our current ‘reality’.

Sharing Your Glow

There’s some difficult and potentially intrusive energies around at the moment.  They are at the Root and Crown, and this can create a pressure to conform to someone else’s idea of what your life would best look like.   It may be direct and in your face, but more likely it’s hidden under layers of conditioning and what gestalt therapists call “creative adjustment”.

The energies we have available to us at the moment are extraordinary, if only we can see through the cloak of oppression that has been thrown over them.

Mars is in the Crown Chakra and Venus is in the Ajna.  But they’re not alone!

Mars is joined by the Goddess Asteroid Vesta, bringing some interesting themes.  Vesta represents the fire of the mother.   The Vestal Virgins were originally an ancient order of priestesses who ruled by virtue of magic and a connection with the sacred, especially the Great Mother.

With Mars we clear anger and violence against the sexual nature of women, and experience a cleansing of the inner flame of heart, creativity and our desire to share it’s glow with others.

There is a very subtle energy coming through of violence against the sacred nature of the feminine, and a strength and courage to reclaim the inner hearth. On the negative side of Mars we might be angrily holding onto old ideas, hugging ancient injuries to our chest.

Downgraded from sacred sexual priestess to domestic goddess, Vesta was the reason women were unable to leave the house.  Mother had always to be at home …. to keep the hearth fire burning.  But for whom?

This transit allows us to reset personal boundaries around our own creative and sexual energies as they flow in through the Crown Chakra.

3rd July 2010

Let’s look at the chart.  You can see that Mars is in the Crown Chakra, on the left hand side.  This gate inspires us to think about things differently, to let go of ideas that create exhaustion and/or oppression.   Mars gives us the courage and passion to do that this week ~ a passionate and fiery devotion to our own inner flame.

Logos is in the adjoining gate 47 ~ Exhaustion and Oppression.  Logos represents the natural order of the universe, but has been misrepresented as the masculine rational way of approaching life via Carl Jung’s anima.

But of course, the natural order isn’t accessible if we look from only one end of the spectrum, we lose a sense of the connection between things.

When things go wrong in our lives, we are usually encouraged to push forward even harder and faster.  When was the last time you were encouraged to take some time out, go deep and dream, as a way of dealing with difficulties?  And then we wonder why the world is such a mess!

Mars tells us: “this is the time to lay the foundations of power and mastery for the future.”

What’s Venus up to?  She’s in Gate 4, Youthful Folly, in the Ajna Centre (mind).  It feels to me that the re-emerging Feminine energy is still quite young and unformed, and that we are still quite inexperienced in applying it to our lives.  We have had an immense opportunity to go deep within ourselves and draw out hope for a new way, but we are not able yet to see the big picture.  This makes sense when we take into account the TNO Borassisi in Gate 63, directly above Venus in the Crown.  Borassisi likes to make his own rules, but they can be narrow, personally biased, and lacking wisdom.

“In times following a great transition, everything is pressing forward, striving in the direction of development and progress.  But this pressing forward at the beginning is not good;  it overshoots the mark….  don’t allow yourself to be infected by the general intoxication.”

And speaking of development and progress, let’s head on down to the Root Centre, which is the place we go when we want to know something about manifesting on the physical plane.  And there we find Mercury hanging out with Aphrodite (53), and forming a channel with Eris and Amor (42).

This is the pressure or impulse (Root) to communicate (Mercury) what we have learnt to value in ourselves (Aphrodite) through having overcome adversity (Eris).

We seek to share the strength we have discovered within us in a loving, kind and gentle way (Amor).  We hide the places where we feel we are to blame for the disorder we are still teasing out of the mix (Eris).  There is an aspect of rejection, of being outcast here (Eris), and feeling that we need to use sneaky means (Mercury/Eris) in order to get attention (Eris), and to find and share (Amor) our love and success (Aphrodite).

Gate 53, Gradual Development, clues us into what we’ve already learnt in the Crown and Ajna, that this is a time for slow and steady development.

Because we live in a culture that believes a spark of an idea is all we require from the divine before we leap forward and create the world anew with only our own personal manly efforts.  But there are more subtle creative energies softly falling to earth just now.  Like snowflakes, if you stand very still and lift your face to the heavens you might just catch them.

We are learning how to create by embodying our ideas before we share them, half baked and unformed, with the world.  In this way, our creative energy moves out effortlessly and without resistance.
