When I first discovered Human Design I was so excited. It gave me ways of recognising myself that felt so familiar and yet, filled with amazing new possibilities. Ideas like the Individual mutative pulse, emotional clarity and sacral response have completely changed my life. You’ve probably had a similar experience.
At first, for me, Human Design was about connecting with a more spiritual sense of self. But then, I quickly felt like there was something so much bigger at work. By the time I’d been working with Human Design for about 2 years, I knew it was bringing a major transformation of humanity.
Why Human Design and Why Now?
Why has Human Design landed at this time? What’s happening right now that we need to realise our selves in entirely new and different ways?
It’s because we are transforming humanity into a cosmic, co-creative species.
We are in the process of re-integrating Indigenous wisdom and cosmic consciousness, and aligning those with a brand new version of the Collective Individual.
How does Human Design bring that potential?
Human Design transforms the pattern of who we are
We use our birth time and place to create our Human Design chart because this is where – and when – we plant the seed of who we are in this lifetime. We create an individual pattern of events in time and space that we think of as us. Knowing our Human Design – acting on our strategies for making decisions, means we are changing the pattern for how we are perceiving and responding to life.
And even though we don’t need to know the underlying cosmic geometry coded into the our Human Design chart to experience this transformation, we are able to do it because we are tapping into these codes.
The coded structure of your Human Design chart
If you look at this blank chart you might think there’s no information there. Nothing coloured in, no Type, no strategy!
The only thing missing from this blank chart is your personal planetary activations – no defined gates, channels and centres that you would recognise as ‘your Design’. Even without the bit you think of as ‘you’, the structure of this blank chart holds layer upon layer of cosmic codes.
In one sense, your planetary activations show how you are, in a sense, embedded into this matrix of cosmic consciousness. When we live in harmony with these codes, we experience life as sacred, with a meaning that extends beyond our individual self.
Human Design Brings Tension, Instability and New Creative Possibilities
By combining these ancient wisdom systems in the way it does, Human Design brings new codes to humanity that create instability and tension. If this sounds unsettling, its because we have been living in a period of stagnation where we saw ourselves from the Cartesian perspective – as objects that can be manipulated, or as obedient servants to some greater force.
Life has new plans for us.
The transformation of patterning that Human Design brings, awakens something in our DNA.
In terms of complexity theory, our Human Design moves us away from equilibrium (stasis) towards a more dynamic engagement with the life force. It breaks up stagnation, allows us to be more open to universal flow, and gives us the resources as individuals to play a greater part in the matrix of life.
As we engage with life in these new dynamic ways, the old structures, and our sense of self, enters into uncertain territory. And this is where we find ourselves!
How do we move on from here? We can only do it by experiencing ourselves within the new pattern – by embracing our Human Design and its cosmic codes for human evolution.
One of the aspects I find troubling about Human Design is the popular belief that somehow it is fixed – the Centres mean this, the gates mean that, and we just have to find the person who knows the most and they can tell us what we need to know.
This idea is paradoxically, what Human Design is here to lead us away from. We have barely begun to appreciate the vast wisdom of the cosmic codes of the Human Design System.
