Sorceress Circe the Time Bender
It’s a while since I’ve seen a transit chart this intriguing!

Especially when we add in the asteroid Circe in that one missing gate from the Root to the Solar Plexus on the right. That’s Gate 41, and it represents what we need to let go of right now in order to get a good harvest in spring. It’s about leaving enough time for our emotions to settle in order to feel safe enough and centred enough to know what we truly want in life. Without this gate we stumble from one ‘want’ to another, clinging to people and things and experiences that have no soul meaning for us. When we live this way, even though we may be unaware of it, our timing is all wrong.
Circe is generally known as an enchantress who turned men into pigs. In fact she seduced people away from their own self-consciousness (as in Self) with intoxicating substances, imprisoning them in an ancient version of the theme park, where life is all about easy pleasure. In this place time exists in a different dimension.
Which in itself is fascinating, because that gate is now connecting via the G Centre (collective heart/unconditional love) to a channel that shifts our sense of time dimensions.
But just back to Circe for a moment, in our exploration for the Feminine Mojo Project, Jamie Walters took Circe back before the patriarchal overlay, and found a profoundly gifted Goddess of magic, a Shaman-Goddess, adept with herbs, potions and the use of hallucinogens to transform consciousness. She also possessed the focused intention to shift energy from one form to another. Her power came from her home, food and her gentle way with animals.
Ancient Greek writers spoke of her as Circe of the Braided Tresses because she could manipulate the forces of creation and destruction by knots and braids in her hair. (http://www.fjkluth.com/circe.html) Her name probably comes from the idea of ‘to turn or bend’.
I find this astonishing, given her connection with time shifting and the recent New Moon on The Great Attractor, which bends time, and the channel I mentioned above, where both the New Moon and Full Moon in December will take place.
The story of her turning men into animals is very likely part of the ancient tradition of storytelling that relies on men’s fears of being overwhelmed by their desire for women being projected onto the feminine (talk to Lillith about that one!)
I feel as if many of my ideas about my life have been turned completely on their head in the past few days. Suddenly I’m looking at things from an entirely different perspective and seeing them completely afresh. I wonder if this is happening for you as well?
Circe speaks to me of waking up from a world dominated by the false delights of fast fried chicken, foxtel and frequent flyers, a world where we are led to believe we want something when we truly don’t, where we are seduced out of our own soul time and into a place where we cling to the promise of nourishment that never arrives. She also speaks to me of our ability to be powerful creators of our own home and nourishment, and to be sovereign over our own sacred journey. With so much activity in Capricorn, it’s polarity in Cancer calls to the lost child who seeks to find the mother goddess in plastic alternative forms. While this week’s New Moon pulled off the mask of bravado that we have adopted to survive our abandonment, Circe gives us the tools to reconnect.

Very interesting read Kim, thanx. I have a hanging 30 so interesting to learn about the 41. Circe is a name I haven’t come across until now, so enjoyed learning about her. <3
She’s fairly new to me as well Mariam, but a favourite of Jamie’s so I learnt about her in that way.
Another wonderful post, Kim. Thanks for sharing it, and for the mention from our work together on the Feminine-Goddess archetypes this Summer. I love Circe; she’s the consummate energy alchemist (and thus helps us to remember this wonderful gift of the Feminine). And yes, I’ve definitely been experiencing the time-bending and shifted sense of time dimensions…much more circular (there’s that root word again!).
Love,
Jamie

Wow, Kim! It is so fascinating that my dear friend, Jamie, and I were talking about time-bending in our conversation earlier today. I had even posted about it this morning on my Facebook profile, “Time is all upside down and backwards for me lately. Feels like going through a portal where here and now are not what they were there and then. Surfing through the wobble and breathing my way into now. Over and over and over, again.”
I got an email from Jamie with a link to your blog post shortly after we got off the phone. What a relief to read about the energetics behind what I’ve been feeling. Thank you for your beautiful articulation of this particular mash-up of energies. You’ve helped me to be able to see this phenomenon from a fresh and enlightening perspective.
With great appreciation,
Jodi
My pleasure Jodi, it was so fascinating as I read through the Fem Mojo notes and saw Circe’s connection with time. What fun it is, our discovery of a new reality!
…. “I feel as if many of my ideas about my life have been turned completely on their head in the past few days. Suddenly I’m looking at things from an entirely different perspective and seeing them completely afresh. I wonder if this is happening for you as well?”….
well, kim… i didnot realise it, till i read the above.
but it does seem to be true in lot of ways.
and this ‘perspective change’ for me has been happening since 28th nov. – when i landed up reading Eric’s 2010 annual, which he opened up for free viewing.
i found, his words brought to surface that which was flowing below my awareness… and as it came up, i was thus able to recognise its presence in my life – which i was blissfully unaware of, till now.
I love your prose, Kim! You never cease to astonish. The braids, the tresses… it makes sense, yes. We also dance in circles, and intertwining lines. ‘Tis magic, like shape-shifting, indeed time-shifting, and going shamanlike between worlds, dimensions, stages of the cosmic spiral… Our sacred journey, our creativity. Namaste!
Hi kim
How is is downunder? Or is my perspective now yours? I’m just sitting patiently waiting, and feeling into looking at the planet afresh. So nourished by your blogs. Thanks!
